The mussel is a sea creature you catch while swimming in the sea (dive where you see bubbles). Look for a small shadow. In the northern hemisphere look for it in Jun – Dec, at any time of day. Nook's Cranny pays 1,500 Bells.
A small, slow shadow at any hour during its long run. It is an easy grab worth 1,500 Bells, good money for so little effort.
