ACNH Special Characters: Who They Are & When They Visit
Every special character in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, from Isabelle to Redd and Daisy Mae: what they do and when you can meet them.
- Blanca: A mysterious white cat with a completely blank face, a quirky regular from earlier games in the series.
- Blathers: A learned owl who curates your museum. Donate fish, bugs, sea creatures, fossils and art for him to display, and he will identify any fossils you dig up.
- Booker: A gentle, easy-going guard dog from earlier games, usually seen on duty alongside Copper.
- Brewster: A quiet pigeon barista who brews coffee at The Roost. Order a cup often enough and he slowly warms to you, even offering pigeon milk once you are a regular.
- C.J.: A fishing-mad beaver who streams his catches. He buys fish for more than Nook's Cranny pays, and turns three of the same fish into a model for you.
- Celeste: Blathers's stargazing younger sister. Chat with her to receive star-themed DIY recipes, and she knows all about wishing on shooting stars.
- Chip: C.J.'s dad, a fishing-loving beaver who ran fishing contests in earlier games.
- Copper: A dutiful, by-the-book guard dog from earlier games who kept watch with his partner Booker.
- Cornimer: A mysterious acorn-headed figure who is almost certainly Tortimer in a mask. He offers the same home storage access and hands you acorns when you chat.
- Cyrus: Reese's laid-back alpaca husband and a skilled craftsman. He customises furniture for you, including pieces you cannot change with a kit yourself.
- Daisy Mae: Joan's granddaughter, who sells turnips for you to resell at Nook's Cranny during the week. Keep an eye on prices, as unsold turnips rot by the next Sunday.
- Digby: Isabelle's twin brother, a hard-working yellow dog from earlier games in the series.
- DJ KK: K.K. Slider's dance-music alter ego, who swaps the acoustic guitar for turntables and remixes.
- Don: Resetti's older brother, a far calmer and kinder mole than his famously grumpy sibling.
- Flick: A cool chameleon artist obsessed with bugs. He buys bugs for more than Nook's Cranny pays, and turns three of the same bug into a model for you.
- Franklin: A gourmet turkey chef who cooks up a feast for Turkey Day. Fetch the ingredients he asks for and he rewards you with Turkey Day furnishings.
- Gracie: A glamorous giraffe fashion designer known for her upmarket clothing boutique in earlier games.
- Grams: Kapp'n's mother. She runs the resort hotel's souvenir shop, swapping your Hotel Tickets for exclusive goods you cannot find anywhere else.
- Gullivarrr: Gulliver's swashbuckling pirate persona. Put on a wet suit and dive for his lost communicator, and he sends you pirate clothing or furniture as thanks.
- Gulliver: A forgetful seagull sailor. Dig up the five communicator parts buried on your beach and he mails you a souvenir from his travels the next day.
- Harriet: A stylish poodle hairdresser. Once a day she gives you a free cut in one of seven exclusive styles, and any look you keep becomes available at your mirror.
- Harvey: Harv, a mellow dog who runs Photopia, a photo studio on his own island where you can stage shoots with villagers. From 2.0 he also has a plaza full of shops.
- Isabelle: Your cheerful assistant at Resident Services. She gives the morning announcements, rates your island's progress, and lets you change the island flag and tune.
- Jack: The pumpkin-headed, self-styled Czar of Halloween. Slip him candy or a lollipop and he may give you a piece of his own outfit or teach you a spooky reaction.
- Jingle: A jolly reindeer who runs Toy Day. He needs a hand delivering presents to your villagers, and rewards your help with festive items.
- Joan: Daisy Mae's grandmother, who sold turnips on Sunday mornings in earlier games.
- K.K.: K.K. Slider, the legendary guitar-playing dog. He performs live on your island and gives you a copy of the song he plays to add to your music collection.
- Kapp'n: A sea-shanty-singing kappa captain. He sails you to mystery islands for 1,000 Nook Miles, and from 3.0 runs the resort hotel with his family.
- Katie: A little lost kitten from earlier games, who needed you to walk her to another player's town so she could find her mum.
- Katrina: A mystic panther fortune teller. She reads your luck and how you get on with a villager, and for a fee will cleanse bad luck or pray for a friendship to grow.
- Kicks: A dapper skunk who sells shoes, socks and bags, with fresh stock every visit.
- Label: Mabel and Sable's sister, a budding fashion designer. She sets you a themed outfit challenge and rewards a good look with pieces from her own label.
- Leif: A green-fingered sloth who sells shrub starts and flower seeds, and pays well for weeds. At his Harv's island stall he can clear every weed on your island for a fee.
- Leila: Kapp'n and Leilani's young daughter. She does not work at the hotel, but hangs out in the lobby in a little uniform and chats about the hotel and her family.
- Leilani: Kapp'n's wife and the resort hotel's receptionist. She hands you guest rooms to decorate and pays you in Hotel Tickets for each finished design.
- Lottie: An upbeat otter from Paradise Planning who recruits you to design vacation homes in Happy Home Paradise and shows you the ropes on your first jobs.
- Luna: A dreamy tapir who runs the Dream Suite, letting you visit dream versions of other islands and share your own. From 3.0 she also sets up your Slumber Islands.
- Lyle: An excitable otter best known for his work with the Happy Home Academy in earlier games.
- Mabel: The friendly Able sister who looks after the shop floor, selling clothes and accessories that change every day.
- Nat: A bug-loving chameleon who ran the Bug-Off in earlier games. In New Horizons, Flick hosts the contest instead.
- Niko: A cheerful young monkey who works at Paradise Planning alongside Lottie and Wardell in Happy Home Paradise.
- Orville: A dodo who runs the Dodo Airlines counter. Talk to him to fly off the island, open your gate to visitors or send letters.
- Pascal: A deep-thinking sea otter who adores scallops. Hand one over and he rewards you with a mermaid-themed DIY recipe or a pearl.
- Pavé: A flamboyant dancing peacock who brings Festivale to your island. Trade him the colourful feathers you catch for party-themed rewards.
- Pelly: Phyllis's sister, a kind pelican who staffed the post office counter by day in earlier games.
- Pete: The pelican mail carrier who flew letters into town in earlier games.
- Phineas: A jolly sea lion who handed out badges for your achievements in New Leaf.
- Phyllis: Pelly's grumpier sister, who covered the post office night shift in earlier games.
- Porter: A friendly monkey who staffed the train station in earlier games.
- Redd: A shifty fox art dealer. He sells paintings and statues from his boat, but some are fakes, so check the details carefully before you buy.
- Reese: Cyrus's cheerful alpaca wife. She plans wedding-themed photo shoots in June and rewards your set designs with heart crystals.
- Resetti: The mole once famous for scolding players who forgot to save. He now runs the Rescue Service, and from 3.0 his Reset Service helps clear parts of your island.
- Rover: A chatty blue-and-white cat who greets you at the end of the May Day maze and rewards you for making it through.
- Sable: The quiet eldest Able sister, who sews in the back of the shop. Chat with her each day and she slowly opens up to you.
- Saharah: A well-travelled camel who sells mystery rugs, wallpaper and flooring. Every rug earns you tickets that trade in for more of her exotic stock.
- Shrunk: A stand-up comedian axolotl who taught players new emotions in earlier games.
- Timmy: One half of the tanuki twins behind Nook's Cranny, working alongside his brother Tommy. The shop stocks tools, furniture and a daily hot item, and buys almost anything.
- Tom Nook: The tanuki behind the Nook Inc. island getaway package. He handles your home loans and sets the projects that help your island grow.
- Tommy: Timmy's twin and co-shopkeeper. Together they sell tools, furniture and a daily hot item at Nook's Cranny, and happily buy up whatever you bring in.
- Tortimer: The retired mayor from earlier games. His stall in Harv's island plaza lets you reach your home storage while you are away from home.
- Wardell: A laid-back manatee at Paradise Planning. He runs the office shop, where you spend Poki on furniture you have unlocked while designing.
- Wendell: A permanently peckish walrus who traded wallpaper for food in earlier games.
- Wilbur: Orville's colleague at Dodo Airlines and your trusty pilot. He flies you to friends' islands and on Nook Miles Ticket trips to mystery islands.
- Wisp: A timid ghost who gets startled into five spirit pieces. Catch them all with your net and he thanks you with a reward.
- Zipper: The springy host of Bunny Day. Hunt for the eggs hidden all over your island and craft them into festive DIY items.
