Snail
The snail is a bug you catch on rocks/bushes. In the northern hemisphere it is around all year, at any time of day. It only shows up when it rains. Nook's Cranny pays 250 Bells, Flick pays 375 Bells.
Snails only come out when it rains, but then they can turn up at any hour. Check the rocks and bushes around your island, which makes a wet day a good excuse for a walk.
