The wharf roach is a bug you catch on beach rocks. In the northern hemisphere it is around all year, at any time of day. Nook's Cranny pays 200 Bells, Flick pays 300 Bells.
Scurries over the rocks along your beach at any hour. It is very jumpy, so approach with A held and swing from as far away as you can reach.
